Security

The safety of your co-workers, your company, and above all, you, is a top priority. Our security staff is on hand 24 hours a day, seven days a week and the building is monitored by a closed-circuit system. Security Supervisor Steve Squilla has been with us for for 12 years. Notify Security whenever:

• 911, Police, Fire, or Ambulance are called so that our security team can provide additional help (loading dock, clearance, elevators) and are aware of the situation
• Any other emergency occurs
• You see any suspicious people on the floors
• Someone else has parked in your parking space and you've had to park elsewhere
• You would like an escort to the parking garage after dark
• There is a maintenance emergency and Chuck and Steve are not in their office
• Someone has been terminated so that the security computer can be updated and they are recognized as no longer employed in the building (this must be done in writing)

There are special security phones located to the left of the men's rooms on floors 2-19 that provide a direct link to the security office. There are also squawk boxes located in the garage, garage elevator lobbies, and stairwells that will connect you directly to security. Simply press the button once and then release it to talk. We also have fire alarms located in the elevator lobbies on all floors.

Building Access

Building doors are unlocked at 6 am and then locked again at 6 pm Monday through Friday. All First Federal doors, once locked at 6 pm Friday, are not unlocked again until Monday morning at 6 am. Elevators are in security mode Monday through Friday, 6 pm until 6 am, and all weekend. You will need a PIN to access the elevators from the parking garages. Entering a PIN from the Corinthian or Main Street entrances will not unlock the doors, but it will give you access to the security office. You will then be asked for further identification. Your PIN will, however, give you access to the elevators in both of these parking garages.

Janitorial Services

Our evening crew of 15 cleans the building from floor to ceiling every night. Our day porter, Don Leo, works from 7 am until 3 pm and is available to take care of any cleaning services missed the previous evening (garbage, cardboard, etc.). You can get in touch with him through the security office throughout the day.

Maintenance

Our maintenance staff is comprised of Chuck Leary and Steve Pennington. With 18 years of combined experience here at First Federal Plaza, they maintain and oversee all building operations, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety systems. They are responsible for performing building repairs and overseeing building contractors. Chuck and Steve ask that:

• When leaving a message at the maintenance shop, you leave your full name as well as the tenant name
• All emergency requests and after-hours concerns should be made to the security office

Smoking

First Federal Plaza does not allow smoking inside the building or parking garage. There are designated smoking areas on Main Street, at the Corinthian Street loading dock, at the Court Café (1st floor Reynolds Arcade), and at the Stock Exchange Bar and smoking section.

Loading Dock

The loading dock is on a first-come, first-served basis and is to be used for delivery purposes only, not for contractor parking. We ask that you do not use the loading dock as an entrance or exit to Corinthian Street for safety reasons (trucks, stairs, security cameras are sometimes blocked).

Elevators

Passenger. All of our passenger elevators are equipped with radio directly linked to the security office. You May direct any elevator concerns to our security staff.

Freight. The freight elevator is available for use by tenants for deliveries. You can contact security and/or Chuck or Steve for arrangements.
